The prayers of Rosh Hashanah are designed for us to tap into the original divine vision and purpose for creation. In so doing, our souls are uplifted and we can receive a glimpse of the people God wants us to be.

Rosh Hashanah is about expanding our consciousness to the awareness of God as King, as melech. By this, we do not mean a man on the throne, but rather melech refers to the unified divine order of life, imbued with divine purpose and divine order. When we acknowledge God as melech, through divine grace we are given direct insight into the experience of this unified divine order as well as access to the hidden and ancient treasure chest of blessings. There is an awesome God revelation unique to Rosh Hashanah. The holiness and potential of our own souls is revealed to us. This vision of new possibilities empowers us to go forward in our lives. As open as we are to believing in God, on Rosh Hashanah we experience that God also believes in us. God is pouring into us all the love and strength we need for the coming year. MAY WE BE OPEN TO RECEIVE .

Too often in our lives, we feel we live in a box of cause and effect. We regret the past, feel bound by it and we worry about the future. When we experience God as the Source of Life, as the Melech, we can let go of worry and fear, we can surrender and be present in the holy eternal moment of now. Hashem Melech. We see through illusion. We are not bound to the past. Everything is new. We are new. The Rosh Hashanah God revelation is a taste of real freedom, real joy. We can start over, we can recreate our lives. There is order to life, there is purpose and we are each a part of it.

I so much want to experience God as King because God is the source of compassion, love, ecstasy, wisdom, beauty, and all that is good. When I experience God as King, the negative limiting thoughts of the

yetzer hara,

the voice of doubt, fear and judgment have no domain in my consciousness and the wonderful qualities of God are active and supreme in my life. Who I am is more than enough. I do not judge myself. I relinquish self criticism. God is my judge. God is kind, compassionate and loving and seeks my highest good.

I am surrendered to God. I do not experience myself as a victim, but rather I experience myself as a part of God. I know that on some level, whether it is conscious or not, my soul has chosen the challenges that I have experienced in my life because these were the ways for me to grow. I accept the lessons I have learned in life with love and gratitude even though I may not understand with my mind the reasons for the choices I have made in my life. I am committed to learning, growing, and living in the coming year.

I am committed to living authentically, to give voice to my dreams, my heart and my soul for I know that these all come from God. It is God's will that I be free, that I be loving, that I be holy, that I be joyful, that I be creative, that I be who I truly am.

I trust that through divine grace all will be revealed. I will be all who I am and all of who God wants me to be. The Creator of the world is the God of Israel, Yud- Hay- Vav and Hay, the God of compassion. This God is my King and I am God's holy servant.

I do not fear and I do not hate, for God is my King. I know that my true and lasting happiness rests in doing God's will. Through serving God on the inside and the outside of my being, I serve the whole of myself and the good of the universe.

This Rosh Hashanah I open to receive a new vision of my life and my service. I rejoice and trust that the power of God that flows through me will empower and guide me to do what I am to do, to meet the people who I need to meet to express more fully who I am. I have faith that God's kingdom will be established on this earth, there will be peace, a true peace and this makes me very happy and peaceful.

(As you prepare for Rosh Hashanah or on Rosh Hashanah, take time to listen to this imagined message from the Holy One).

" I created this world to be known and to bestow love and goodness. I contracted My light to allow a world to be created that would experience itself as separate from Me so I could love its inhabitants and they might know Me and they would know themselves as a part of Me. " Contrary to what many people may experience or believe, I did not create this world for suffering or even for struggle. In the end, after much struggle, you will understand that I created this world for love and joy. Every year on Rosh Hashanah, as I review all of creation, I make Myself available to every soul in the most direct way. I ask that you ready yourself to receive My revelation on the holy days I have set aside for you. "Spend the holy days immersed in prayer and meditation, and be in loving community so you will be better able to experience Who I am and what I want of you in this coming year. Ask yourself, be in the question, "What does God want of me? " Quiet your mind, open your heart, listen deeply and you will hear Me. I will reveal Myself to you. Align your will with My will, and I will pour down all the blessings you need so as to empower you to fulfill your soul purpose. This Rosh Hashanah simply and profoundly say Yes, I choose life, I choose to be connected to what is good and what is holy. Say this affirmation out loud and silently to yourself many times. In creating this world, know that I have made you my partner. Do not ever think yourself to be small or insignificant. You are made in My image. Always remember that. You are important to Me and to My creation.

You are beautiful, loveable, and capable of being the person I wanted you to be. No one can take this away from you. Please know that you can always go directly to Me. You can call on Me any time. Study My scriptures, My prophets and the Psalms of David and pray to Me alone. Know that your prayers make a difference to Me. Meditation, prayers, learning Torah, doing mitzvot, good deeds, makes a difference to Me and most importantly, they will help you to be able to receive the vibrations of My love that will guide and protect you during these awesome times. I believe in you, whether you believe in Me or not. My deepest desire is for you to know Me and reveal My oneness in this world. It is for this that I created you. On Rosh Hashanah, more than any other time in the year, I will reveal my malchus, my kingship to you . When you will know Me as Melech, you will have a glimpse into the divine plan, you will see the divine order underlying all of creation and you will be filled with love and joy. I love you more than you can fathom." Love the Holy One.
